New Look at Crooked Glasses!

YES! After four long years of staring at my noobish WordPress layout over on my blog, Crooked Glasses, I finally bit the bullet and switched the theme to the prepackaged Twenty Fifteen look, editing only a few colors and widgets to get it the way I wanted.

The FAQ and Links pages have been cleaned up and reworded to feel more professional. I’m also using an Archive widget instead of a custom page now, and I got rid of my feeble attempt at an Article Series page because I really don’t have any idea how to make it work anyway. ^o^

…And now I officially win the “Super Lazy Designer” Award! YAY!!! ROFL

New Affiliate: Invincible.Nu! (Plus More Updates!)

The awesome Shin of invincible.nu has affiliated with WithinMyWorld.org! Go visit her wonderful web work! 🙂 She also affiliated her blog at Shinrei.org with my blog at Crooked Glasses.

Other News:

  • I updated Elusive Enchanter with a completely new layout because I realized I hated the huge header image. Go see what I made in its place–MUCH better, in my opinion!
  • Added a ton of new upcoming sites to the projects page–lots of book heroine shrines coming up here at WMWorg!

Busy with Blogging, but Still Here!

If you’ve wondered why there has been a lot of radio silence here at WMW.org, it’s because I’ve been keeping up with my blog, Crooked Glasses. (If you’ve never checked it out, please do so–I write about all kinds of topics, because my personal life is just not that interesting. LOL)

I’ve also been trying to put together many of the little fansites I’ve been promising for over a year. My video game fansite, as well as my Dove fansite and my British TV shows site, are all in various stages of completion. (Actually, I think my Brit-TV site might be almost done…haven’t glanced in the folder in, uh, a while. XD)

Keep up with this page for further updates–I promise you, when a site of mine is actually finished, you’ll hear the whoop of joy from wherever you are in the world. XD

It’s Utter (Coding) Madness!

Currently in the process of creating seven fully-fleshed-out sites, in addition to blogging six days a week. Yep, that’s right, SEVEN sites, and six blog posts a week. :O I think I might just be crazy. Either that, or my content bug is flying around out of control. LOL

The only thing I’m having difficulty with is my layouts for all these sites. Having content is great, but layouts have always bugged me. (Get it? Bug? xD I’m so lame. 😛 ) Hoping my webdesign bug decides to cooperate and help me make pretty layouts to go with all this great content–and soon!

I Swear I’m Here, LOL

Though not much has changed on the ol’ domain, I swear I’m here. Real life and illness have been keeping me from working, as well as the lack of my own computer yet. :/ (I guess I’ll be going to get a new computer soonish, if only to have an internal hard drive of my own again.) Did I mention I’ve about had it with these headaches that feel like the side of my head’s been set on fire? They need to go AWAY.

…Annnnnnnnnnd I realllllly hate dialup. *shakes fist at corporations that won’t get off their butts to install fast access out here*

[/whining]

I’ve been keeping Crooked Glasses updated weekly, but that’s been the limit of what I could do most recently. My novel is being worked on, very very slowly (hard to write when I can’t think clearly), and the layouts for WMW.org are coming along well also (amid a couple of rethinking sessions and setbacks). I’ve actually got a very new style on the way–I think it’ll work better for how the domain’s been growing and changing–WMW isn’t such an infant anymore, and appears to have grown out of its baby clothes. 😛

Please continue to watch this space, as I battle the Headache Monster, the Real-Life Monster, and the Technology Monster. ^_^;

New Twitter Widgets and New Link Exchange!

First, a great big welcome to OhMyDarling.org, our newest link exchange here at WMW.org. Go visit Sarah’s lovely domain (the Elliot Stabler fansite is my personal recommendation, but she has plenty more to see)!

Also, as you may have noticed from visiting the main page and from the sidebar to your right, I have discovered the magic of Twitter widgets. Thus, I’ve placed widgets on Crooked Glasses, WithinMyWorld.org, this little news page, and even Skies Over Atlas (the long-forgotten Twitter account I started with, lol).

Woot for actually getting stuff done around here! (Now I just need to prod myself to finish that one last article that needs spiffying in the College Knowledge section… -_- writer’s block FAIL.) 😛

New Affiliates at WMW.org and Crooked Glasses!

Welcome to my newest affiliate at WMW.org: Lady Dinobug! 😀 Her lovely domain collective Rokuro.nu is a portal to all her content on the Internet–well worth checking out. Oh, and did I mention her mad leet skills in graphic design are in evidence? 😀

In other news, I’m also hard at work adding Crooked Glasses’ first-ever affiliate–After-Hours.me! :’) Blogs grow up so fast… *sniffle* After Hours is an enjoyable and fun blog written by Chrizta, and I’ve been visiting for a while. Just had to get up the courage to ask for affiliation! 🙂
