Revamped: Lux Perpetua!

This little site now has a new(ish) layout design, with a new color scheme and lots (LOTS) of little polishing touches! (I plugged my WIP on Discord last night and finalized everything today!)

I’m so glad to be finally content with this layout…it only took me a year and some change to figure out that the image of Dove needed to be the lightest and brightest thing in the design! Once I realized that, then the darker color scheme quickly took shape, and I started getting more excited to fix other things about the layout. Now the code has also been updated and some writing has been tidied up as well! WOO! (Just goes to show you how a little spark of inspiration can set my whole mind ablaze with productivity!)

Sneaky Sneaky Updates

I haven’t been gone or anything! I’ve just been doing some subtle updates that you might not notice. Here’s a teeny tiny recap:

  • Worked on Lux Perpetua (which also won an award over at Amassment in June!!
  • Progressed on a super secret project I’ve had in the works since the beginning of May. (You can technically access it right now if you know the link, but it is still in process right now. It’s part of an Amassment event called Construction Zone! :D)

The reason I haven’t been around much is that my mom has been very sick and is now hospitalized…please keep thoughts, prayers, and/or good vibes coming her way!

New Site: Lux Perpetua!

After 7 years, my shrine to Dove from Hawk & Dove comics is online!

Lux Perpetua has been a labor of love for many years–I had it almost 80% done in 2011, but the Great Hard Drive Crash of 2011 lost all its files. Now, at last, this tribute to my favorite comic book superhero is viewable, and can only get more complete with time!

Check it out when you get a chance! (This site is also my entry for the August Transformation Challenge over at Bad @ss B!tches.)

Christmas Ate My Webdesign Mojo

Apologies for my long absence; the Christmas season began before Thanksgiving over this way, and it’s been rushrushrush since. I’ve been doing a little work here and there on several fansites that I hope to bring to your screen soon, about the following subjects:

  • Super Mario RPG
  • Dawn Granger (DC Comics)
  • British TV shows
  • Tumblr layout help

It’s just been slow going, is all. Maybe there will be (GASP) updates for the new year? We can dream! 😀

Two New Link-Exchanges, and Lux Perpetua Project

Hooray! Check out Ghost-Lights.org and Reflera.org, my two new link-exchanges. (On the way to add them, I realized I didn’t even HAVE a link-exchanges page yet–that got fixed in a hurry!)

Also, in the next week, I am quite hopeful that I can upload my last upcoming site, now named Lux Perpetua, about Dove II of the comic book series Hawk & Dove.

In future updates, I’ll be referring to something called the Lux Perpetua Project, which is basically me scanning in all the best images of the lady Dove from my collection of H&D comics and uploading them. (Currently, I’ve got all of the five-issue miniseries scanned in, but it will take a VERY long time to scan in everything else. If I waited till I got ALL the comic issues done, Lux Perpetua would never be uploaded!)
