Version 15 Is Live!

HOORAY!!! After months of puttering around behind the scenes, Version 15: Passionate Light is ready to view and explore!

Here’s some of the new sights to see:

Let me know what you think about version 15 in the comments or the guestbook! I’m really happy with it so far! (And as always, if something is displaying strangely on your machine, it’s a good bet that I have no idea it’s happening!! Currently v15 has been tested in the Windows versions of IE, Firefox, and Chrome.)

Happy 11th Birthday, WMWorg!

Can’t believe it’s been 11 years since I bought this domain and began filling it with various web works!

Sites have come and gone, and there have been many facelifts, but WithinMyWorld.org has stood the test of time. It was my 20th birthday present to myself, in the midst of college exams, and it has seen me enter other stages of my life since then. :’) Ah, memories. <3 Here's to many more years! *clinks glasses*

HAPPY TENTH BIRTHDAY WITHINMYWORLD.ORG!

Ten years ago today, I purchased withinmyworld.org for my own, amid the flurry of college exams and birthday preparations. (Yep, WMW.org shares my birthday!)

WMW.org has grown and shrunk and grown again in that decade, but it has always been my pride and joy on the Internet, serving as both my webdesign sandbox and showcase of my best works. In a way I can’t believe it’s been 10 years–where did the time go? Oh yeah…it was spent getting better at this whole “webdesign” thing ^_^;

Happy 10th birthday, my little web-rugrat! Hopefully Mommy will get faster at updating you over the next 10 years xD

Other News:

  • I updated Elusive Enchanter with a completely new layout because I realized I hated the huge header image. Go see what I made in its place–MUCH better, in my opinion!
  • Added a ton of new upcoming sites to the projects page–lots of book heroine shrines coming up here at WMWorg!

WOOT! Version 14 is FINALLY live–go check it out! I finally decided to not worry with an outside guestbook, and instead made a “guestbook” page on this news blog. (Hopefully it works well and doesn’t glitch up!) And, with that pesky project out of the way, I was able to upload all my Version 14 stuff at last. ABOUT TIME, RIGHT?? LOL

I did have to do quite a bit of debug after I loaded it, but everything looks fine now. Please let me know if you see a problem with anything! 😀

Remaining Projects Before v14 Goes Live

EDIT: FINALLY got this new “news blog” style put up–what do you think? It didn’t turn out exactly like I wanted (because CSS is apparently cranky about background colors on “height: 100%;” div layers that scroll…argh). But otherwise I like it! Let me know if the background image is too busy!

Here’s what remains to do at WMWorg before I can upload v14:

  • Finish and upload main domain layout
  • Finish and upload network layout
  • Code and upload guestbook design
  • Write up v14 blurb for layout archive
  • Finish and upload news blog layout
  • Rewrite domain info page
  • Get new guestbook since my old one has been closed
  • Make new admin logo for contact page
  • Link-check sitemap, add new links where necessary
  • Make new button for v14 layout

WMWorg Turned 8!

Can you believe it! 8 years ago this past Saturday (December 8th), I first registered withinmyworld.org. Since then, it’s been everything from an anime portal to a graduate portfolio…what a strange and meandering path!

May the next year be full of more updates and layouts–and hopefully a few more sites along the way! 😀

Possible Downtime Sept. 27th

My host sent me an email about a firmware reboot on Sept. 27th (around 7pm EDT), so if you visit my site that day and get an error, that will likely be why. They’re only expecting about 10 minutes of real “downtime,” so hopefully it won’t be long. 🙂
