2017 Projects List!

Hey, cool, I did manage to update again before the end of the year! LOL

After scanning through the Visionary Sphere Network, I’ve come up with a list of things I’ll be doing (hopefully) in the coming year. Doing this month-by-month list really helped with motivation this year, so I’m counting on its continued success in 2017!

Overall 2017 Goals

Month-by-Month Goals

A Look Back and a Look Forward

Whew, it’s November already! I still have a couple of projects in the hopper for 2016, but here’s what I’ve accomplished this year so far:

Wow, I didn’t think I’d accomplished QUITE that much this year, but it’s been a busy 10 months at WMWorg! March was my most productive month, though–weird!

Looking ahead, this is what I plan for November and December:

Whew, looks like a lot of work (and it probably will be, not going to lie), but I’m excited about it too–I’m not going to actively build any new sites or do any huge revamps in November, so I’m going to be able to do more little tasks around the domain. Check back for updates!

Revamp: Narratives

Narratives
a collection of character stories

After 7 years, this little site has received a complete facelift and revamp, including more (and better) content, cleaner navigation, a fresh design, and even a new name! Check out the 15 original character profiles I have, plus the new explanatory content, and let me know what you think!

New Site: Living Words!

Living Words
6 Biblical selections that guide my faith practice

This is a site that has been in the works for a really long time! Living Words is a one-page-wonder showcasing most if not all of my favorite Bible verses and/or passages. (It’s also technically a revamp of my old, unnamed faith site, which is now offline.)

Along with the Bible verses, I’ve included context for each selection, and I added 4 handy informational links at the bottom of the page as well. Also, if you hover over each of the book/chapter/verse notations, a tooltip will appear detailing what each selection means to me.

I hope this will be a much better Christian resource than what I had before, and in the future I hope to add more verses to it as well. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Random Puttering, As Usual

In the days since the release of Version 15, I’ve gone back and edited a few things here and there, such as:

Ahead for WithinMyWorld.Org during this summer (time permitting):

  • Finish my in-progress Eighth Doctor site for the Construction Zone event at Amassment
  • Revamp and rename my faith site (it will likely be relocated to a new subfolder as well)

Stay tuned right here or at @wmworg for the upcoming changes!

Version 15 Is Live!

HOORAY!!! After months of puttering around behind the scenes, Version 15: Passionate Light is ready to view and explore!

Here’s some of the new sights to see:

Let me know what you think about version 15 in the comments or the guestbook! I’m really happy with it so far! (And as always, if something is displaying strangely on your machine, it’s a good bet that I have no idea it’s happening!! Currently v15 has been tested in the Windows versions of IE, Firefox, and Chrome.)

Revamped: News Blog Organization

I did quite a bit of work around here this morning!

I realized a few weeks ago that my categories and tags were in a sorry state, and so I flipped them around; now, site updates are tagged with their names/topics, and updates are listed in categories according to what kind of updates they are (affiliates, new sites, cleanups, link exchanges, closed sites, revamps, etc.). I also got rid of the silly/ridiculous tags to make it less of a pain to browse.

I hope this will make it easier to find posts and enjoy! (And as always, comment below if you see anything strange code-wise!)

Revamped: Layout Archive!

Check out the new look of Disguises, the layout archive for WithinMyWorld.org!

I’ve gone through and tidied up the site immensely, adding more layout trivia and facts, deleting errors, and beautifying the existing Bootstrap theme (which I had so inexpertly styled before, LOL). Now it’s truly a beautiful archive to explore.

(Bonus: when you visit, you might be able to help solve a mystery! Can you discern which serif font I used on version 7?)

Link List Prettified–Meet “Egress!”

I cleaned up and revamped my sad little link list, transforming it into Egress–lots more fun to visit, lots easier to click through! Now there are three main categories for links (“Play,” “Use,” and “Explore”), and there shouldn’t be any more broken links for at least a few days. LOL

(Many thanks also go to my Amassment buddy Lethe for helping me debug the layout when it was being failtastic! XD)
